Have an AI sort the people you already know by who has the problem now
You're about to start reaching out, and your first instinct is to buy a list and send the same email to a thousand strangers. You already know how that ends. Start with the people you've already met. Export your own contacts, describe what you sell and who it's for, and have an AI sort them into who might have this problem right now. Make it say why for each name, pointing at something real: their job title, where they work, what the company has been up to lately. The reason is where most of the list falls apart. "Runs a support team" doesn't mean this week is any different for them. "Runs a support team at a company that just opened a second office" is a reason to write today. Ask the AI to say plainly when it has no such reason, and drop those names for now. You end up with a dozen or so people instead of a thousand, and for each one you can say out loud why you're writing to them this week. That sentence usually turns into the first line of the email.
