Plain-English summary first: we collect the minimum needed to run a forum, we don't sell it, and you can delete your account yourself.
What we collect
Your email address (or the basics from your Google account), the profile you fill in — what you do, your role, optional industry, company and GitHub username — and what you post, comment and vote on. We also keep aggregate page-view analytics that don't use cookies and can't identify you.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't set tracking cookies. We don't read your posts to train anything.
Your content
You own what you write. By posting you give us permission to display it here and in share previews. You can edit or delete any post or comment at any time. People on the sweetmelon team post under their own names; it says so on their profiles.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account removes your login and profile immediately. Your posts and comments stay up, attributed to [deleted], unless you delete them first.
