Let the AI read the contract and let a formula do the date math

sweetmelon team · Finance

Somewhere in a shared drive you have forty contracts. Some roll over on their own, some need two months' notice if you want out, and nobody can tell you which one needs a decision next month. Drop the scans into one folder and have an AI read three things out of each: the end date, how much notice the other side requires, and whether it renews automatically. Store the sentence it took each of those from, in the same row. When a date looks odd later, you can see the wording instead of opening the file again. Work out the deadline yourself. End date minus notice period is a subtraction, and a model doing it in its head will occasionally be a month out, which here means you've already renewed. Put the arithmetic in a formula and let the AI stick to reading. What you get is a list with a date beside every contract, sorted by which one bites first. The reading can still be wrong, and you'll catch that from the quoted line. The math won't be.
